Kevin Taylor Drops Names Of Supreme Court Bench To Hear E-Levy Case

US-based Ghanaian journalist, Kevin Taylor, has dropped a list of the names of judges who have been nominated to sit on the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s case against the e-levy.

According to Kevin Taylor, these judges have been carefully coached to bastardise justice and scatter the NDC’s case against the illegal imposition of the e-levy.

Mr. Taylor who hosts the popular news vlog, ‘With All Due Respect’ named the hatchet men as Nene Amegatchie- who would be the Presiding Judge, Professor Mensah Bonsu, Mariama Owusu, Professor Ashie Kotey, Gertrude Torkonnor and Emmanuel Yoni Kulendi.

This list increasingly exposes what is widely held as partisan Supreme Court judges who have been appointed by President Akufo Addo to do his government’s bidding in total treason to the concept of separation of power.

Indeed, the Minister of National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, recently cautioned the judges to be discreet in ruling in favour of the government. In his opinion, if all the major cases go in favour of the government, the game would be exposed and citizens might rebel.

Ghana’s judiciary is known to be on the top of the list of corrupt institutions in the country, the popular Afrobarometer has consistently pointed this out. Also recently, a report by the US State Department confirmed that the Ghanaian judiciary was indeed biased and partisan.
