IGP Lifts Interdiction On Madina MP’s Bodyguard

The Inspector-General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, has lifted the interdiction placed on the Personal Bodyguard of the MP for Madina, Hon. Francis Xavier Sosu.

The discontinuation of the interdiction on Inspector Daniel Agbavor is with immediate effect.

This was made known to the Member of Parliament and the Officer through the Parliament Protection Unit (PPU).

It would be recalled that Inspector Agbavor had been interdicted on 31st October 2021 for allegedly endangering lives by recklessly driving into a crowd of protestors.

According to an interdiction statement signed by ACP Kwesi Fori, Director General of Public Affairs, his actions had endangered the lives of two senior officers and other civilians”.

This was after a road demonstration in Madina and the subsequent attempt by the Police to arrest the MP for Madina Constituency, Francis-Xavier Sosu.
