Police Hunt For Suspects In Bloody Nima, Mamobi Machete And Gun Clash

The Police has announced it is on the heels of some of the suspects who were involved in the bloody clash between Nima and Mamobi youth on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022.

In a Twitter post, the Police said it is now hunting for suspects in the machete and gun clash after it intervened.,

The Police have confirmed that there was a violent clash between the youth of Nima and Mamobi on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 3:00 pm which reportedly resulted in four deaths and several injuries.

Whatsup News has seen videos of the bloody clash where the two opposing thugs openly chased each other with machetes and sporadic gunshots on the streets of Nima.

In one of the videos, a young man from one of the opposing gangs was seen being slashed with machetes from the rival gang amidst shouts of terror from bystanders.

“Police Contained Nima Violence. The Police strongly intervene in the Nima violence and brought the situation under control. Meanwhile, the suspected criminals are being pursued to face justice. Full details will be provided at an opportune time,” a tweet from the Police’s official handle said.

Meanwhile, the cause of the fight is yet to be known, even though there have been claims that the fight was over shisha – a Middle Eastern pipe smoking culture that has swept through Ghanaian youth like a storm.

While Shisha is not a narcotic drug, smoking can increase the risk of developing heart and circulatory diseases.
