Mahama’s Vice President Hits 70 Years Old

The 2020 Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has marked her 70th birthday with acts of charity in her home region, Central.

Prof. who was born on November 22, 1951, turned 70 on Monday, November 22, 2021.

Ex-President Mahama is tipped as the most likely candidate to emerge as the presidential candidate of the NDC for the 2024 presidential elections. It is still unclear if he will maintain Prof. Opoku-Agyemang as his Vice President.

Meanwhile, Prof. Opoku-Agyeman who was a former Minister of Education spent her birthday visiting a number of institutions to make donations and also commiserate with colleagues who are on admission at various hospitals.

She began the day with a visit to the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital where she donated health supplies requested by the hospital, including twenty 20 toilet seaters, assorted foodstuff and a range of toiletries.

Prof. Opoku Agyemang was received by the Deputy Director of Administration, Mr. Chireh Thomas Kuusanoo and staff of the hospital with whom she later held interactions.

From the Ankaful hospital, the team moved to the Emintsimadze Palace in Cape Coast for a Courtesy Call on the Omanhen of Oguaa Traditional area, Osaabarima Kwesi Atta ll to show her appreciation for his prayers when she started her 2020 campaign. 

Here, the team was received by His Royal Majesty Kwesi Atta ll and other members of the Oguaa Traditional Council received Prof Opoku Agyemang and her team and later hosted a cake cutting ceremony for the Prof.

The team would later visit the famous Kotokuraba Market, the largest market in Cape Coast, where Prof. Opoku Agyemang interacted with the queen mother Nana Ava Nsia and other traders. A massive reception given the team nearly turned into a rally even though the visit was not really announced.
