NDC Launches UK/Ireland TEIN

THE Youth Wing of the UK/Ireland Chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched a branch of the party’s Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN).

The launch which came off Monday also coincided with a health awareness campaign organized by the UK/Ireland Women’s wing of the NDC.

It was under the theme: “leadership in nation building the role of the youth and women.”

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, the 2020 Vice Presidential Candidate of the NDC was the special guest of honor.

Giving the keynote address, Prof. Opoku Agyemang, challenged women in the party to step up to the plate of leadership.

She also challenged the youth to impact the process of national development so that they make their marks early on in history.

Prof Naana Opoku-Agyemang used the opportunity to highlight some of the achievements of H.E John Mahama and NDC in the area of women’s empowerment.

TEIN UK – Ireland was officially launched by the National Youth Organizer George Opare Addo Esq. Mr. Opare Addo explained that TEIN is the tertiary institution’s platform for NDC members who are still in school, saying it is a very effective way for young people to not only become members of the NDC but also flesh out their future in politics through the party.

The chapter youth organiser Alfred Freddy kotogbor re-echoed TEIN UK- IRELAND will enhance home and abroad students and lecturers who peripatetic to UK and diaspora as a whole into the chapter and NDC to help in policymaking.

Other people who addressed the launch include, Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw, National Women’s Organizer, and Deputy National Organiser of NDC Chief Biney Nixton.
