The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s failed Parliamentary Candidate for Kpone-Katamanso in the 2020 elections, Hopeson Yaovi Adorye, was a cash spraying machine on Thursday night at a private location where his wife, gospel songstress, Empress Gifty, held a private listening session and fundraising for her latest single, ‘Eye woaa.’
Adorye was seen dancing his heart out to the performance of his wife as he sprayed, and plastered his wife with wads of crispy new Ghc50 notes.
Videos from the sleazy and extravagant money display at a time that the government he participates in has asked Ghanaians to tighten their belts of economic hardship, appear extremely insensitive as angry Ghanaians get fired up at the viral video.
The occasion was graced by other high society personalities, including Rev. Elisha Salifu Amoako of the Alive Chapel International, controversial prophet, Nigel Gaisie, actress Nana Ama MacBrown, Tagoe Sisters, Mary Ghansah, Oheneba Clement, and SP Kofi Sarpong among others.
The fundraiser had been held as a precursor to the launch of the single which celebrates God’s faithfulness and help.
The new single was mixed and produced by one of the nation’s finest sound engineers, Rev. Shadrach Yawson (Sha).
