Support Ibrahim Mahama- Senyo Hosi To Gov’t

Senyo Hosi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, has urged for the Akufo-Addo government to support the companies of Ibrahim Mahama, the younger brother of former President Mahama.

He made the call in a rant decrying political vindictiveness under the current winner-takes-all style of democracy in the country on Accra-based FM on Wednesday.

“Ibrahim Mahama must be supported and grow under an NPP administration, I want to see an NDC government giving Gabby’s wife a job because of what she has. Why can’t we drive meritocracy? The day we can start that, we’ll have a different Ghana, a Ghana we can really hand over to generations yet unborn,” he said.

The comment is sure to be dismissed by the Akufo-Addo government which has reportedly been the most vindictive and divisive in the history of Ghana’s Fourth Republic.

Specifically, in regards to Ibrahim Mahama, the government has controversially canceled a bauxite mining contract that his company, Exton Cubic had won under a previous government.

According to Senyo Hosi, such tendencies do not help the progress of the country insisting an all-inclusive government is the way to go.

“President Kuffuor is the finest we’ve had in the fourth republic but the all-inclusive government was just grammar. Inclusion is the way to go,” he said on Starr Chat with Nana Aba Anamoah on 10th November 2021.

Senyo Hosi also bemoaned what he said is the high rate of corruption in the country describing the canker as “currency for our democracy. The earlier we are honest about it the better.

“In Ghana, we rather give a white man more opportunities than our fellow brother because you think he’s with a different party. We have ex-ministers, politicians who are destitute today. That kind of political exposure in Ghana is very exclusive such that it’s a winner takes all. You have to fight for your survival,” he said.
