Revealed: Akufo-Addo Assembles Anti-Alan Regional Constituency Chairmen As MMDCEs

The nominees that President Akufo-Addo has listed for appointment as Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) are a carefully assembled crowd of anti-Alan Kyeremanten canons, party insiders have told Whatsup News.

The assemblage is reportedly causing a lot of anger in the party with other party executives who apparently did not make it because they are perceived to be pro-Alan, warning they may be forced to work against the party in 2024.

Whatsup News has been picking from NPP WhatsApp platforms that an undercurrent of discontent that has steadily been building within the party in the four years that the NPP has been in power is now spiraling out of control because of the move by President Akufo-Addo.

The President’s decision has also angered Regional Chairmen of the party.

From a WhatsApp platform for the party’s Regional Chairmen, Chairmen for Volta, Jaman North and Lawra were among those who expressed unhappiness over the decision to bypass them and use others, especially constituency Chairmen.

Information we have intercepted also confirms that a meeting was recently held at Legon over the President’s nominations and in that meeting, pro-Alan party members had to pretend they were pro-Bawumia.

Apparently, these pro-Alan party members were planted to gather information and they did just that.

From what was gathered the Alan camp is also profiling the nominees as part of a move to define its loyalists in the lead-up to the party’s primaries.

Meanwhile, the revelations have been confirming that President Akufo-Addo indeed delayed his appointment of MMDCEs in a bid to ensure that only pro-Bawumia people were appointed.

President Akufo Addo is reportedly seriously prepping his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as his successor and puppet when he finishes serving his second term in 2024.

Meanwhile, the current Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng has been tipped as the natural replacement of Akufo Addo, having contested President Akufo Addo on several occasions when the NPP shopped for a presidential candidate.

Alan had given Akufo Addo a good run for his money and had become an iconic figure in the party that many loyalists assume to be the natural successor when Akufo Addo serves his term.
