GIPC Board Member Celebrates Birthday At London’s Expensive Dorchester Hotel

A Member of the Board of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, Alex Apau Dadey, was a birthday boy at the lavish Dorchester Hotel in the heart of London, the UK with President Akufo Addo reportedly gracing the extravagant occasion amidst calls for Ghanaians to observe austerity.

The sixtieth birthday bash was the talk of the town when the GIPC Board Member jetted off with the crème de la crème of Ghana’s political class, including the titans of the Akufo-Addo Jubilee House.

The Dorchester, one of the UK’s most popular 5-star hotels where it cost US$878 a night to lodge and loads more money to organise a lavish event in.

Alex’s name and his new age were specially crafted into the floor of the hotel in bespoke artwork customization that would normally be the indulgence of billionaire types and Rock Stars with more money to burn.

His audience appeared to be made up of tycoons from both the UK and Ghana. But the most prominent guest of honor at the party was President Akufo-Addo who had been accompanied by his wife, First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

Sights and sounds at the event also included Executive Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, who was spotted sipping what appeared to be finely aged tequila.

Champaign and other expensive drinks were available at becks and call of the political elites at the event.

Also in the flashy event were the children of the GIPC Board man – Eliot, Charlotte and Benjamin, and their mother, Mrs. Apau Dadey, who took the initiative to deliver the welcome address and celebrated ‘daddy who is 60 but does not look it.’

WhatsUp News has also seen a special video message that Vice President Bawumia sent to his “dear friend Alex” to make the celebration even more graceful.

Mr. Alex Dadey, who is also the Executive Director of Premier Textiles Group is one of ten people who constitute the Board of Directors of the GIPC.
