Dr. Richard Amoako Baah, a former political science lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) who has been linked to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has revealed that he is forced to wear a nose mask and hat in disguise to escape possible lynching by NPP loyalists.
According to Dr. Amoako Baah, he had to resort to these extreme measures because of the lower-than-expected economic performance of the Akufo Addo administration.
He said the government has failed its own supporters in alleviating their socio-economic conditions with jobs as it had promised.
Speaking on the Citizen Show on Accra100.5FM earlier this week, Dr Amoako Baah expressed disappointment in his own government, saying: “…Anytime I come to Accra, I wear a face mask and a hat because when people meet you they want to attack you…They insult me and say NPP knows nothing and they even say this in Kumasi.”
He continued, “This is the truth because the aspirations people had for this party has not materialised…Before the elections, I told Nana Addo in his house that he will win even without campaigning because people were fed up with NDC and Mahama and we put all our trust in Nana Addo…”
He issued a challenge: “Who in Ghana today can confidently say all is well in the country… All is not well”, he insisted.
