Freshly exorcised former celebrity voodoo high priestess, Nana Agradaa, aka Patience Asiedua, has been convicted to a fine of Ghc36, 000 by an Accra High Court for operating a television station without license.
Agradaa who was convicted on her own plea after abandoning her initial defense that she was not guilty, was also fined Ghc10, 000 for using her TV station to promote charlatanic activities.
The court was presided over by Justice Emmanuel Essandoh.
In default, she will serve three years imprisonment with hard labour on the charge of operating a television channel without license.
In respect of her dubious activities, she was convicted to a fine of ¢10,000 in default of which she will serve a year in prison.
It would be recalled that Nana Agradaa recently gave up her commercial voodoo practice and got baptized into the Christian faith. She subsequently burnt her idols.
This was after she had made a name for herself as a powerful voodoo high priestess with a clientele of mostly celebrities.
