Drama As East Legon Woman’s Supposed Plummet To Death Fingers Husband

The bereaved husband of an East Legon resident, Lilian Dedjoe, who supposedly slipped and fell to her death at her home has been arrested by the Police over suspicion that he may have been responsible for her death.

Circumstances around his wife’s death have exposed Charles Dedjoe as a wife-beater and that his wife may have succumbed to trauma she suffered from spousal violence at the hands of her husband.

Mr. Dedjoe has been arrested and arraigned before the Madina District Magistrate Court to prove his innocence.

Interestingly, the man was the one who had rushed the wife to hospital with the claim that she had slipped on the stairs of their East Legon home.

According to him, he was asleep and was suddenly awoken by desperate wails from his 43-year-old wife.

He rushed to her rescue and realized that she had slipped and fallen badly. Unfortunately, when he and their daughter got to the hospital with the wife she was pronounced dead.

However, Mrs Dedjoe’s family is said to have pooh-poohed the story by Mr. Dedjoe and revealed that she may have succumbed to the beatings she suffered at his hands just a day before.

Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Afia Tenge has since confirmed the story.
