It is unclear if the unfortunate death had any traumatic effect on the deceased.
The seven-member panel of the Supreme Court has dismissed former President John Mahama’s suit challenging the 2020 election results, despite the unprecedented display of suspicious actions by the Electoral Commissioner, Jean Adukwei Mensa.
For the first time in Ghana’s history, the Electoral Commissioner had announced the presidential results approximately six different times over the span of one week. Virtually all the declarations were different from the previous one.
The most scandalous declaration was the main one done on December 9, 2020, when she announced President Akufo Addo as the winner of the presidential race. However, after all the percentages scored by the 12 presidential candidates were tallied, it summed up to a mathematical impossibility of 100.3%.
The election was also the bloodiest in Ghana’s history, with over eight people shot dead by bullets from security agents who were allegedly turned on civilians who were protesting election rigging.
