Fifteen (15) more people have died of the coronavirus disease (COVID19) according to the latest update from the Ghana Health Service’s dedicated portal for the pandemic.
Consequently, the national death toll from the virus has risen to 533 from about 350 in barely three weeks.
Additionally, 101 patients have degenerated into severe symptoms with 33 of them in critical conditions.
According to the GHS, 718 new infections have also been recorded, with active cases rising to 8,216 from the previous 7,754 on Saturday, February 13.
The new infections are from tests conducted as at February 10, this year.
Cumulatively, Ghana has so far recorded a total of 75,836 cases since it confirmed its first two infections in March 2020.
Meanwhile, 241 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total of clinical recoveries and discharge to 67,087.
