Rawlings’ Book Of Condolence Opens From Monday To Friday

The Akufo-Addo government has announced late ex-President Jerry Rawlings’ book of condolence will be opened from Monday to Friday.

A statement released by the Head of Protocol of the Office of the Vice President said the venue will remain the foyer of the International Conference Center in Accra.

“Due to the covid-10 pandemic, the general public is advised to note that the signing of the book of condolence for the late former President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Flt. Lt Jerry John Rawlings will commence on Monday 16th November 2020 to Friday 20th November 2020 at the foyer of Accra international conference center from 9 am – 5 pm daily.”

The statement was signed by the Head of Protocol at the Vice President’s office, and Moderator of the signing of the book of condolence, Nana Enoch Osei Mensah.

This has since been corroborated by the family of the late ex-President in a statement issued on Saturday, November 14, 2020 and signed by his Director of Communications, Kobina Andoh Amoakwa.

Per an attached schedule, national leaders including the speaker of Parliament, Chief Justice, former Presidents and their wives and Chairman and members of the Council of State along with Presidential aspirantswill be the first to sign on Monday

On Tuesday the IGP, CDS and other heads of security agencies, heads of religious bodies and ambassadors and High Commissions will follow suit.

Then on Wednesday retired senior security officers will sign. They will be followed on Thursday by heads of government institutions.

The general public will get the opportunity to sign on Friday
