Akua Donkor, Wuntumi, Slapped With Ghc1million Suit

Comic relief of Ghana politics and Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party, Akua Donkor, has been sued heftily after she went on radio to claim ex-President John Mahama was involved in the sexual escapade of loud-mouthed actress, Tracey Boakye.

Ms. Donkor was dragged to court alongside Wontumi Communications owned by Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP)

The plaintiff, only identified as Mary Awusi is demanding a total of ¢1,000,000 from the defendants for claiming that she is having an affair with Mr Mahama.

A woman whom Akua Donkor alleged has had affairs with the former President is demanding Ghc1,000,000 after Akua Donkor went on Kumasi based Wontumi FM to declare that former President Mahama is ‘Papa No’ the supposed unnamed womanizer who had affairs with both actress, Tracy Boakye and musician, “MzBel”.

According to Akua Donkor, the former President has fathered two children out of wedlock with the Ms. Awusi who was the NDC’s 2016 parliamentary candidate for Asante Akim North.

Ms Awusi wants general damages of ¢300,000 to be awarded by the court against Akua Donkor, ¢100,000 in general damages against Oheneba Nana Asiedu, as well as ¢600,000 as punitive damages against the defendants which also include Wontumi Communications Limited.

‘Papa No’ became a reference for a supposed womanizer when Tracey Boakye, in a public commentary alleged that singer, Mzbel, was sleeping with a man was also her (Tracey’s) lover. She kept referring to that man as “Papa No.”

As both Tracey and Mzbel are known supporters of the NDC, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) seized it as an opportunity to make political capital, alleging that ‘Papa No’ is former President Mahama.
