NPP MUCKRAKING ON NDC Running Mate Digs UP Three Professors

An attempt by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), to dig up dirt on the Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rather thrown up humbling revelations.

Among others, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is revealed to have three children who all hold PhDs, including his eldest son, Prof. Kweku Opoku-Agyemang whose PhD is in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Her second son, Prof. Kwabena Opoku-Agyemang, holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of West Virginia; while  her only daughter, Prof. Adjoa Opoku-Agyemang, holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from The University of Toronto.

According to the revelations, all three had their first degree from The University of Ghana.

Now the dirt hunters from the NPP have been taken aback, with a WhatsApp platform belonging to some communicators of the ruling party,  ‘NPP 4-MORE’ wondering what they can do to shelve the high pedigree of the Opoku-Agyemang family.

The revelations have also come in answer to Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, who has claimed that Prof. Opoku-Agyemang has no stake in the fight for women’s empowerment in Ghana.

A story that has gone viral captures Ursula Owusu’s rhetorical question; “Where was Naana Jane when we were fighting for women’s empowerment?”

On Facebook, Giovanni-Paolo Lingo Kormi Tademe answers Ursula Owusu thus; “she was seriously imparting knowledge to young women and men in a university while you were looting, making reckless comments and building a fake floating bridge that was washed away by a few minutes of rainfall.”
