The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced an upcoming forum on Monday to outline and exhibit numerous grandiloquent promises that President Akufo-Addo and the ruling NPP made in the build up to the 2016 elections but have failed to achieve them in office.
A statement signed by National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, said the program will do a comprehensive analysis of the ruling party’s 2016 election manifesto.
It will be under the theme: “NPP 2016 Manifesto in Perspective: Claims, Deception and Reality.”
“The purpose of this program is to conduct a comprehensive and objective assessment of the status of the numerous lofty promises President Akufo-Addo and the NPP made to Ghanaians in the run up to the 2016 general elections and the boastful claims of the New Patriotic Party on the implementation of same.
“The presentation, which will take place during the third (3rd) edition of the NDC’s Weekly Press Briefing, will take place at Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, Accra, at 1pm, and shall be broadcast live on a number of digital platforms, and media networks across the country,” Sammy Gyamfi wrote.
This platform is the third that the NDC’s Communication team, led by Sammy Gyamfi, has launched on the NPP government. Already, the party has the ‘Moment of Truth’ platform, which tracks the government’s achievement claims.
Last week, the Communication Team also launched a ‘Corruption Tracker,’ to highlight and explore what it said is numerous acts of corruption that have punctuated governance under Akufo-Addo.
