Ghanaians Are Ungrateful, Ignorant- Galamsey Capo Frimpong Boateng

Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng has expressed frustration working for “ignorant and ungrateful” Ghanaians.

“Ghana is not worth dying for because it is not easy working for the ignorant and the ungrateful,” he said in a yet-to-be-aired interview with Ghana’s renowned comedian Kwaku Sintim Missa (KSM SHOW).

Prof. Frimpong Boateng blurted out these words when he lamented what he calls unfair treatment from Ghanaians in his supposed illegal mining (Galamsey) fight.

Prof. Frimpong Boateng was recently exposed in secret video recordings where he was discussing redistribution of seized illegal mining excavators to some governing party executives to engage in illegal mining to raise funds for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In the secret tape, he was actively conniving with the former NPP Central Regional Chairman, Ekow Awusi, to sell off seized excavators to party members. Ekow Ewusi and other collaborators were arrested. He was eventually kicked out from his position.

That was not the first time Prof. Boateng has been linked to illegal mining, intercepted documents show that he is behind Symphony Mining Company used by his son, Joojo Frimpong-Boateng to undertake illegal mining operations in the country.

Also, in an investigative piece by Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Prof Boateng and his Secretary in the Inter-ministerial committee against illegal mining, Charles Cromwell Bissue, were implicated in aiding illegal mining operations across the country.
