The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reportedly suffered casualty on account of the dreaded corona virus pandemic.
One of the party’s leaders in Denmark, reportedly succumbed to the disease after catching the virus.
Daily Guide, a newspaper affiliated to the NPP reported that Mr. Kwabena Maanu made mortuary statistic as one of the three Ghanaians who died in Europe after catching the disease.
The other two Ghanaians who have died from the virus had been domiciled in Italy according to Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.
According to Daily Guide’s report, Mr. Maanu’s immune system had been weak before catching the dreaded virus. He was said to have suffered a brain hemorrhage in December 2019 and spent a lot of time at t6he Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Denmark.
He however caught the dreaded corona virus just when he was recovering and could not recover from the infection.
Apart from being a leading member of NPP-Denmark, he was also credited for introducing African popular music to Denmark
