Explosive! John Boadu and Wuntumi Pop Up In Galamsey for NPP -Secret Recording Captures Prof Frimpong-Boateng

Whatsup News has come in possession of a damning video recording that captured a no-holds-barred admission that the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wuntumi), the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the same party owning illegal mining operations “Galamsey” that remits funds into the coffers of the ruling party.

Also named in the video is Elvis Donkoh, the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Abura Asebu Kwamankese in the Central Region, who reportedly complained bitterly to “Prof” for sidelining him in the distribution of mining excavators

The video which was discretely captured by an unidentified party supporter in the office of Prof Frimpong Boateng, the Minister of Environment and the Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), revealed another unknown individual quizzing one “Prof” of bypassing some party bigwigs, including members of parliament in his distribution of the so-called disappeared excavators for Galamsey operations for the ruling party.

The voice of “Prof” in the video is strongly believed to belong to Prof. Frimpong Boateng, because at a point he said

“…we once visited you with regards to working [in mining operations] to remit money to the party, you Prof gave me the authorisation to form a team to do the work; you Prof told me that I should add “Gizo” to the. I did that…,” the accuser recounted to which Prof. Boateng did not deny.

In fact he expressed anger at the fact that the accuser went ahead to form the team with John Boadu and started working on their mining concessions without informing him, he queried his accuser:  “Did you inform me about the status of the team?”

He continued: “We all know that the party needs money, so we decided that Wuntumi has a concession, so you go there…let’s form a team. But after our discussion, you never informed me about the status [of the team]…where is John Boadu mining?”

In the heated discussion, an angry Professor Boateng threatened to walk his accuser out of his office because he was “preparing a presentation for tomorrow”.

Also in the discussion, he mentioned how he sent one “Charles” on an errand. A critical analysis points to Charles Cromwell Bissue, the Secretary of the IMCIM who was recently busted by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas for facilitating Galamsey operations.

Last week, Prof. Boateng courted serious public ridicule when he claimed over 500 illegal mining excavators used by invading Chinese miners had disappeared into thin air.

However, on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested one Horace Ekow Ewusi, an official of the IMCIM for allegedly trading in seized Galamsey excavators.

Interestingly, Horace Ewusi is the ruling party’s Vice-Chairman in the Central Region and he is the second official of the Prof. Frimpong Boateng-led IMCIM who had been directly exposed for engaging in Galamsey.

The first official who was exposed last year was Charles Cromwell Bissue, the Secretary to the IMCIM.

Indeed, Prof. Frimpong Boateng himself has been widely fingered for being a mastermind behind illegal mining operations in Ghana. Whatsup News is unaware of any official denial of these allegations.

A supposed mining cartel is said to be prowling the corridors of the Jubilee House, despite President Akufo Addo’s initial promise to put his presidency on the line in the fight against illegal mining.

Large-scale Ilegal Mining operations championed by Chinese nationals in collaboration with their Ghanaian co-conspirators have devastated countless river bodies and forest reverse in almost all regions in Ghana.
