Ghana has suffered a damning verdict in the latest Corruption Perception Index (CPI) report conducted by Transparency International.
The country was ranked 80 out of 180 countries used for the survey; a drop by two places from the country’s 2018 rank of 78.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, Ghana tied with West African counterpart Benin on 10th, a statement from the Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), the local chapter for the Transparency International revealed.
On the score sheet, Ghana maintained its CPI score of 41 from 2018.
