Bimbila Police Interdict Five Officers Over Assault Of Track Driver

The Police in Bimbila in the Northern region have interdicted five of their officers who allegedly ganged up and assaulted a track driver there.

Corporal Kenneth Amoah Korsah, Lance Corporal Prince Agyemang-Duah, Lance Corporal Prince Setordzi Miledzi, Lance Corporal Bruce Hornam and Lance Corporal Samuel Takyi are to face a service inquiry over the incident that has incensed the youth of the area.

They were said to have accosted the driver and beaten him to pulp on the Bimbila – Yendi road on January 16. The same officers are said to have followed the assault up with a budge into the Gbewaa Palace where the driver had sought refuge, to forcibly arrest him.
