The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched an official campaign to raise money to fund its Presidential and Parliamentary election campaigns for this year.
The launch which happened yesterday, also saw the party launching a shepherding program for the various constituencies of the party dubbed, “Adopt a Constituency/Branch.”
Under this, party members or admirers with the wherewithal are encouraged to adopt a constituency or branch and sponsor its logistical and financial requirements towards the elections.
At the heart of the campaign are electronic platforms that the party has established to receive donations, with the main one being an application interface called “NDC Ghana.”
A website –ghanandc.com has also been launched as one of the receiving platforms for donations. Once a prospective donor accesses this website, he or she is presented with a set of steps to follow to make the donation. This is backed by a special short-code where members can donate to the party.
