Coronavirus: Provide regional isolation centers – Mahama to gov’t

The leader of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has urged the government to provide regional isolation centres.

According to him, it was not prudent to transport cases recorded outside the capital as was the Obuasi confirmed case.

“Provide isolation centres in all regions, cases recorded kilometres away from Accra must not be transported here for isolation,” he said.

In a Facebook live video, the former president urged Ghanaians to follow the Ghana Health Service guidelines by ensuring personal hygiene.

Committing his support to the effort of the government, the opposition leader asked the government to publish its plans on how to fight the deadly virus.

“We will be supportive of the national efforts and vigilance, but the government must make all the necessary investments now,” he added.
