Frank Nelson compares Hearts of Oak struggles to English giants Liverpool

Hearts of Oak Board member Frank Nelson has juxtaposed the club’s recent struggles to English Premier League giants Liverpool.

Hearts of Oak look very likely to extend their ten-year league title drought following their abysmal start to the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians have collected just seven points after six round of matches and they appear to have no solution to their plummeting form.

Coach Edward Odoom’s men woes were deepened on Sunday after losing 2-1 to fiercest rival Asante Kotoko in front of their vociferous fans at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite the side’s recent poor state, Frank Nelson insists they can take a cue from run-away English Premier League leaders Liverpool, who are course to break their 30-year league jinx.

“Liverpool was once like Hearts of Oak, we will surely bounce back,” Nelson stated on Atinka FM.

“No one is happy about Hearts situation, we should know that Liverpool were once like Hearts of Oak, but now they one of the best club in the world.”

“No businessman will be happy with the current situation of Hearts of Oak, but we believe that Hearts will surely come back with all the investment we are putting in.”

Hearts of Oak will quickly aim to return to winning ways when they play as guests to Dreams FC on matchday seven.
