SABOTAGE!! …NPP Mole Leading HR Floods With 3,500

Outgoing Gov’t Goes on Reckless Recruitment Spree to Cripple Incoming Admin.  It is a destruction by design. After ruining the country and leaving a legacy of debt, corruption and failure in its trail, the outgoing government is deliberately inflating an already bloated public service with reckless recruitments and unmeritorious appointments just to cripple the President elect.

Michael Asare Bediako, the Head of Human Resource at the Immigration Service, has reportedly initiated a surge in recruitments following the announcement of John Mahama’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.

Mr. Bediako, alleged to be a devoted New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter within the service, is purportedly filling positions with NPP sympathizers, who are reportedly paying between Ghc30,000 and Ghc40,000 for recruitment.

There are claims that Mr. Bediako is retroactively dating employment letters for these NPP sympathizers to disguise the nature of the recruitments. Despite only 815 individuals recently enrolling in the immigration school, he has declared his intention to recruit 3,500 new personnel.

These allegations were brought forward by a whistle blower who wishes to remain anonymous, who has exposed an alleged scheme involving the admission of 815 recruits into the Immigration Training School at Assin Fosu on November 30, 2024.

After a mere week, these recruits, along with 210 others, were allowed to participate in the election. Subsequently, upon John Mahama’s victory becoming evident, Mr. Bediako reportedly issued appointment letters to individuals, accepting payments ranging between Ghc30,000 and Ghc40,000.

Additionally, the HR announced plans to recruit 3,500 new staff members, far exceeding the initial enrollment of 815 recruits.

The Whistle-blower has urged President Mahama to intervene under his administration, directing the Comptroller General, Kwame Takyi, to revoke any questionable appointments.

Furthermore, it has been revealed by the whistle-blower that a cadre of officers from Cadet Intake 2 within the Immigration department have received expedited promotions due to their NPP affiliations, bypassing more experienced colleagues.

This preferential treatment has led to a scenario where junior officers have suddenly overtaken their seniors in rank.

The pro-NPP officers, beneficiaries of rapid promotions, are reportedly lobbying the incoming administration of President Mahama to restore merit-based promotion practices.

They argue that promotions under the previous administration lacked transparency, favoring individuals based on political alignment rather than qualifications.

If heeded, this proposal would rectify the unjust promotions that favored NPP members during the previous administration, ensuring fair advancements within the Immigration Service.

An observer emphasized the vital importance of maintaining professionalism and impartiality within the GIS, cautioning that any attempts to politicize the institution could profoundly impact national security and stability. The Ghana Immigration Service has refrained from commenting on these accusations thus far. However, sources close to the service have confirmed that an investigation has been initiated to probe the allegations.
