GATWICK – KUMASI FAKE FLIGHT FAILS

Fake London Flight to fool Ashanti Voters:

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, led by Akufo-Addo, made desperate attempts to boost voter support in the Ashanti region by planning an international flight from the UK to Kumasi.

However, these efforts proved futile as the promoters failed to secure the requisite authorisation required by the UK aviation authorities to fly to the destination. Subsequently, the government sought to save face by misleading the public.

The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) issued a statement indicating that the flight, intended to elevate the status of Ashantis, would be rescheduled to later in the week due to short notice.

The statement also asserted that a second flight, set for December 15, would remain unchanged. It is evident that these assurances are mere attempts to manage the disappointment of Ashanti voters until after the elections.

The government’s strategy appears to be centered on keeping voters’ hopes alive with false promises until the conclusion of the elections. Last week,

The media revealed the government’s scheme to sway Ashanti voters with an international flight from London Gatwick to Kumasi’s Prempeh 1 airport.

The reported arrangement with Ethiopian Air aimed to instill a sense of importance in Ashantis ahead of the December 7 voting day.

However, sources have disclosed that there are stringent measures required by the UK aviation authorities to enable them give clearance to the aeroplane to depart.

Experts say key safety measures are strict enabler of such ventures but the UK authorities deemed the flight request unsafe, given Kumasi Airport’s inadequate international safety measures. Consequently, the planned flights have been canceled entirely
