NDC’s Kwetey Empowers Volta and Oti with Vehicle, Motorbike Donation for Election Boost

Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) opposition party, has significantly reinforced the party’s campaign efforts for the upcoming December 7 general election.

The former Member of Parliament for the Ketu South constituency showcased his commitment by providing vehicles and motorbikes to the Volta and Oti Regions, aiming to enhance mobilization and strengthen the party’s prospects in these pivotal regions.

Kwetey, a key figure in the NDC, orchestrated the generous donations during his campaign tours alongside NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.

These regions are considered strongholds for the NDC, setting the stage for a robust campaign push.

Acknowledging the instrumental role played by Hon. Agbodza, the Member of Parliament for the Adaklu constituency in the Volta Region, Kwetey expressed his gratitude for the collaborative efforts that enabled these initiatives.

Together, they are fortifying the party’s foundation, gearing up for triumph in the forthcoming elections. During his visit to the Oti Region, Kwetey handed over a brand-new Mitsubishi L200 and nine motorbikes to the constituency Elections Directorate across the nine constituencies.

This gesture aims to enhance their operational efficiency and mobility, facilitating better service delivery to their constituents.

Turning to his home region of Volta, Kwetey furnished the Regional Secretariat with another Mitsubishi L200 and 18 motorbikes, to be distributed among the 18 constituencies.

This strategic move underscores the party’s determination to reclaim all seats in the region, following the loss of the Hohoe constituency to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 election.

Kwetey emphasized, “These contributions underscore our unwavering commitment to bolstering the party’s infrastructure and equipping our leaders with the necessary resources to excel in their duties.”

The NDC is gearing up for a fierce battle to unseat the New Patriotic Party, led by President Akufo-Addo, who is nearing the end of his second term.

While the NDC is rallying behind former President John Dramani Mahama, their main opponent, the NPP, is putting forward Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his inaugural electoral contest.
