U.S. Embassy in Ghana to launch new visa services provider website

The United States Embassy in Ghana has unveiled plans to introduce a new visa services provider website, marking a significant change in its visa operations.

In preparation for the transition, access to the existing visa service provider’s website and services will be terminated on August 16, 2024.

However, the Embassy has assured that all current non-immigrant visa interview appointments will remain valid throughout this period.

Specific actions are advised for different applicant groups, including those who have paid the visa fee but not scheduled an interview, as well as travelers planning trips in August or September and those intending to travel after September.

Key dates to note during this transition period include August 16 as the last day for access to the current website, August 21 for document drop-offs at Premium Delivery locations, August 23 for Embassy document drop-offs in Ghana, and August 26 as the launch date of the new visa appointment website.
