Basintale Exposed Deputy Minister’s Misdeeds on Live Tv!

In a shocking on-air revelation, Maleek Basintale, Deputy Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has dragged former Upper West Regional minister, Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, into the spotlight for his alleged misdeeds.

During a live television appearance, Maleek accused the now deputy Sanitation and Water Resources Minister of acquiring state lands in Tumu and Wa for personal use, including setting up a radio station and a filling station.

The revelations didn’t stop there, as it was also exposed that Chinnia Issahaku smuggled government farm inputs meant for local farmers, yet failed to pay for the remaining costs.

This embarrassing incident occurred on GHone’s morning program, hosted by Serwaah Amihere, where Maleek, along with former PNC national chairman Bernard Mornah, laid bare these allegations against the deputy minister.

In the midst of a growing concern over government officials acquiring state lands nationwide, Chinnia Issahaku attempted to justify his actions, stating there is no law prohibiting him from such acquisitions.

However, these revelations have prompted MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to propose a ‘Public Assets Protection Bill’ to prevent politicians from exploiting state properties.

In a bid to deflect attention from himself, the deputy minister also tried to implicate former President John Mahama in similar land acquisitions.

However, Maleek’s detailed account of Chinnia Issahaku’s activities in the Upper West region left no room for escape as he presented concrete evidence of wrongdoing, including awarding contracts to family members and smuggling farm inputs.

The scandal has raised serious questions about ethics and accountability in government, with Chinnia Issahaku’s defense falling short in the face of mounting evidence presented on live television.

The public awaits further developments as the full extent of these shocking revelations comes to light.
