PRINPAG Elects New Executives August 12

The Private Newspapers Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) will hold elections on the 12th of August, 2022 for new executives to steer the affairs of the Association for the next three years.

A total of fifty (50) newspaper publishers will be voting on the day to elect a new President and his Vice, National Organizer, Treasurer and head of external affairs relations.

After vetting by the elections committee, Mr. Edwin Arthur, of the New Independent (incumbent President) and Mr. David Tamakloe, of Whatsupnews were approved as candidates for President.

For Vice President, Mr. Mike Antwi Adjei, of the Ghanaian Observer is to stand unopposed. Also, incumbent National Organizer, Emmanuel Opare-Djan of the Daily Democrat is standing for re-election unopposed.

One of the candidates was however disqualified from going unopposed for the position of Treasurer while Mr. Jeorge Wilson Kingson, of Ghananewsonline.com.gh is contesting unopposed for the position of External Relations Officer.

Voting is slated for Friday, August 12, 2022, from 9:00am – 3:00 pm at the PRINPAG Secretariat, Kokomlemle
