Ghanaian Economist, Dr. Jerry Kombat-Monfant Gets Appointment As Chief Economist On TEG

Respected Ghanaian Economist, Dr. Jerry Kombat-Monfant has been appointed as a Chief Economist, to serve on the Technical Expert Group (TEG) of the Finance Watch.

The appointment was announced in a press statement by TEG signed by Mr. Farie Krypi, Administrative support Assistant at Finance Watch, an European non-governmental organization that conducts research and advocacy on financial regulation.

Based in Brussels, Belgium, the organization focuses on financial regulation in the European Union and is a key financial advisory organization to European Financial and banking interests.

By the mandate of this appointment, Dr. Jerry Kombat-Monfant would serve on the following expert groups; European Commission’s Platform On Sustainable Finance; European Commission’s Support To Circular Economy Finance Expert Group; European Banking Authority (EBA).

According to the statement, by his appointment, “Dr. Kombat-Monfant will also serve on the European Insurance and Occupational Pension Authority (EOPA); European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA) stakeholders group; European Securities and Market Authority Financial Innovation Standby Committee and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG). All Institutions should take note and accord him the same. “
