Another Corruption Scandal Brews -Akufo Addo Gov’t Fingered in Ghc18.6milllion Theft

Accra-based JoyNews has put into circulation a teaser on an upcoming expose on two corruption scandals involving companies linked to a Minister in the Akufo-Addo government.

Dubbed, “Caught In Conflict” the scandal in the pipeline promises to be explosive.

According to the advert, it involves a company closely associated with a Minister being handed a juicy government road contract worth Ghc12million.

Olatunji Amuda, Abdul-Bazak Chinnia and Dimbie Yahaya are listed as the names of the Minister’s close associates involved.

Apparently, however, after receiving the money, the company did not complete the project so that after three years, the road is in the worst condition than it was before the contract

The same company, the teaser reveals, also got another contract worth Ghc2.6million from the government’s Planting for Food and Jobs program

“The GRA tax audit of the company reveals interesting details,” the Joy News teaser said.

It is unclear who the Minister is, but there are speculations that it may be the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Attah. Incidentally, the Minister is a cousin of President Akufo Addo.
