The second leg match in the 2022 world cup qualifiers between Ghana and Nigeria kicked off on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in Abuja in what resulted in a 1-1 draw and thus allowing Ghana to sail through by the whiskers.
Nigeria’s fate was sealed with the 1-1 draw because when Nigeria played the first leg in Ghana, the match ended in a goalless draw.
But, because Ghana managed to score a goal at the home of the Nigerian Super Eagles, the country earned the advantage with FIFA’s Away-Goal rule.
On Monday, the Black Stars arrived in Abuja for the much-anticipated second leg match which was slated for 5 pm on Tuesday.
