Lame Duck IGP Knows Murder Of JB Danquah

…Suspect, Ken Agyapong sings like a canary

Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare knows the murderers of the late MP for Abuakwa North, Hon. J.B. Danquah Adu, insists the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong.

Incidentally, Ken Agyapong is widely regarded as an important person of interest in the dastardly murder case.

According to him, Dampare had confirmed to him that the hired assassin, Daniel Asiedu, alias “Sexy Dondon” had told the Police upon his arrest that he had been hired by an NDC MP – Amadu Sorogho.

“… I asked Dampare about it. I demanded to know why that MP hasn’t been invited but Dampare laughed. He had already told me the suspect had named an MP but without naming who it was to me,” Agyapong had said.

According to Agyapong, Dampare knew that Sorogho was the murderer and had assured him (Agyapong) that when he became IGP he would investigate the matter and bring it to closure.

“Today I am challenging Dampare to come out and disclose the name the suspect mentioned as the masterminds in JB’s murder. Dampare, I am daring you. You promised to resurrect the JB Danquah murder case when you become an IGP. I am waiting for your action,” he stated.es in

The Assin Central MP had flown off the handle after US-based Ghanaian journalists, Kevin Taylor and Kweku Skirt, reiterated their accusation that he is the one who hired Sexy Dondon to kill the MP.

This suspicion has been hanging over Agyapong, a man who has a penchant to threaten people on-air and vow to send hirelings after them and their families, was named by Sexy Dondon himself as the man who hired him to butcher the Abuakwa North MP.

According to Sexy Dondon in a secretly captured video in his current prison custody, Agyapong had paid him Ghc2000 for the job and arranged to pick him up after he had killed the MP in his East Legon home.

The hired murderer also confessed to the Police that Agyapong had coached him to say that he had been hired by people in the NDC to kill the NPP MP.

What is making it difficult for the notorious Assin Central MP to shake off the allegation is that after Sexy Dondon had murdered the MP and fled, Agyapong was the first person the Police had seen at the murder scene. He claims to have gone to the house after he heard the news.

Interestingly, while Agyapong claims that Sexy Dondon’s naming of him as his sponsor is false, he wants the Police to invite Sorogho over the same Sexy Dondon’s allegation that it was Sorogho who sponsored him.

And Sorogho’s silence over the issue has not been helping with the needed clarity over the dastardly murder of a Ghanaian MP in his home.

Meanwhile, Ken Agyapong is a man with credibility problems when it comes to his suspected involvement in murders and his actions to disentangle himself. The same Ken Agyapong is also highly suspected to have hired assassins to murder investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein Suale.

In the lead-up to gunmen waylaying him in traffic and shooting him to death, Agyapong had published the photos of Ahmed Suale in 2019, who until then was an unknown undercover journalist, and urged members of the public to lynch him when they see him.

Suale had worked with Anas Aremeyaw Anas in the ground shaking “Number 12” investigative report in which corruption at the highest level at the Ghana Football Association was traced to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.

Agyapong instigated the public to lynch Suale because he exposed massive corruption at the Jubilee House.

Then in May this year, the loose cannon MP claimed that the Police had told him that the murderer of Suale was one Ansu Gyeabour, a resident of Kumasi. Gyeabour promptly clapped back at Agyapong with a video that went viral, warning that he would never allow himself to become Agyapong’s scapegoat.

Since then, Ken Agyapong has hushed up about his allegation against Ansu Gyeabour, making him remain the main suspect in the murder of Suale as well.
