Secret Batch Of Police Recruits Arrive At Depot After Paying Ghc5, 000 Each - WhatsUp News

Secret Batch Of Police Recruits Arrive At Depot After Paying Ghc5, 000 Each

WhatsUp News has picked up information that a batch of recruits are scheduled to report at the Police depot in Accra for training on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

Their upcoming arrival has sent shockwaves among some Police sources who have told WhatsUp News that they were never aware that the Service is recruiting.

Indeed, the suspected recruitment had never been communicated to the public, with news of the recruits said to have “suddenly emerged from nowhere.”

Meanwhile, it is being alleged that some of these recruits had had to pay Ghc5,000 each as part of a nefarious rite of passage into Ghana’s Constabulary which is one of the most corrupt in the world.

There has also been some allegations that the unexplained recruitment processes were tinged with partisan politics, with the governing NPP, packing party members and members of its goon squads, including Delta Forces, into the Police.

Already the Ghana Armed Forces have been taken over by suchlike party goons, sources say.

The Police have remained mum over the issue, but it is likely  a statement will soon be released to officially respond to the allegations.
