Unrepentant Obinim Flaunts Cash at Ken Agyapong

Self-acclaimed preacher, Daniel Obinim has sent a daring challenge at Ghanaian law enforcement agencies as he flashes wads of US$100 notes few hours after he was released from police custody for reported fraud and possible money laundering.

The Founder and Overseer of the International God’s Way Church (IGWC), who is popularly called “Bishop Obinim” released photos himself flashing cash and jubilation in a white Kaftan after his release.

The pictures released on Saturday, accompanied a press release issued by his Special Aide, Richard Jackson, saying reports that he was rushed to the hospital after his release was false.

On Tuesday, May 19, the police arrested and charged the controversial preacher forgery after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong did a series of exposé on his reported nefarious activities.

He was subsequently granted bail, to the tune of GHC100, 000 by an Accra Magistrate Court with three sureties.

On Saturday afternoon, his aide issued a statement, accompanied by the photos above, dismissing reports that he had been rushed to hospital after his release from police custody.

Bishop Obinim has been cited for many shady activities, including performing fake miracles to deceive unsuspecting Christians, duping of his members and sleeping with his female church members.
