The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has instructed all District and Regional Executives to search for a twerking nurse caught in a viral video.
The unidentified nurse was shown in full uniform wriggling her well-proportioned derrière.
On May 15, 2020, the GRNMA issued a statement expressing distaste at the display. However, the GRNMA is uncertain if the culprit in the video is even a real nurse.
Observers think the video may just be a prank from someone without nursing training but somehow had access to the traditional green and white uniform of Ghanaian trainee nurses.
In a statement, the Association strongly disapproved of “such capers by Nurses and Midwives and regards the twerking in a professional uniform as unacceptable conduct and a disgrace to our noble profession.”
The GRNMA considers twerking in uniform unacceptable, describing it as an “unacceptable behaviour especially when in uniform in order to protect the dignity of the profession.”
