Furious former Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Sarah Adwoa Safo has unleashed a scathing attack on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former President Akufo-Addo over a corruption scandal involving the late wife of minister Courage Quashigah.
In a shocking revelation, Adwoa accused Gertrude Quashigah of orchestrating corrupt deals within the School Feeding Programme, implicating top NPP officials in a web of deceit.
Speaking exclusively on a radio show owned by NPP bigwig Bernard Antwi-Boasiako alias Wontumi, Adwoa blasted the rot within the Programme, calling for a thorough investigation to cleanse the corruption infesting the system.
The former MP for Dome Kwabenya did not mince words as she slammed the former president for allegedly ignoring her corruption report on the Programme. She claimed that despite her efforts to expose the wrongdoing, Akufo-Addo dismissed the report, shielding the perpetrators from justice.
Adwoa revealed how the late Mrs. Quashigah attempted to corrupt her by proposing underhanded deals to siphon funds meant for school children. Despite her refusal to participate in the deceitful scheme, Adwoa faced backlash and resistance from high-ranking officials, forcing her to speak out now.
The explosive revelations have rocked the NPP, prompting calls for unity amid the scandal. However, Adwoa remains steadfast in her mission to clear her name and expose the corruption festering within the party.
In response to Adwoa’s brazen accusations, the NPP has referred her to the Disciplinary Committee for breaching party protocol. But Adwoa remains undeterred, determined to seek justice and hold those accountable for the corruption scheme.
