President Mahama Sworn-In Deputy Ministers; Last Batch to be Announced this Week

President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn-in the Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms, Lydia Akanvariba, along with the first batch of 13 Deputy Ministers in a grand ceremony held at the prestigious Flagstaff House yesterday, 12th March.

The undoubtedly momentous occasion comes after the diligent screening and approval process by the Parliament’s Appointments Committee, paving the way for the newly appointed officials to take up their crucial roles in shaping the nation’s future.

Among the distinguished individuals inaugurated are top talents like Thomas Nyarko Ampem for the Ministry of Finance, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi for the Ministry of the Interior, and Ernest Brogya Gyenfi for the Ministry of Defence.

Not forgetting Clement Abas Apaak for Education, Richard Gyan-Mensah for Energy & Green Transition, and Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini for Roads & Highways – all poised to make substantial contributions in their respective domains.

President Mahama, true to his unwavering commitment, has solemnly pledged to unveil the final cadre of deputy ministers to complete the promised roster of 60 ministers.

While the identities of this last group remain under wraps, speculation runs rife over the President’s challenging task of final selection due to an abundance of qualified candidates.

Of note is the hotly contested Deputy Minister of Health position, where a slew of eminent medical professionals and Members of Parliament are vying for the coveted slot.

The spotlight shines on illustrious figures like Dr Zenator Agyeman-Rawlings, Prof Grace Ayensu Danquah, Dr Thomas Anaba, and Dr Titus Beyuo, all eager to bring their distinctive expertise to the healthcare arena.
