Suspect Nabbed In Daring Escape Bid During Land Row Drama

A sensational courtroom spectacle rocked proceedings at High Court (General Jurisdiction 9) in Accra today when Mr. Emmanuel Ebo Abraham, aka “Bobo,” was apprehended trying to bolt upon spotting a crucial witness in a long-standing land dispute.

The high-stakes case centers on Mr. Eddie, head of Erata Company Limited (Erata Motors), embroiled in a decade-old legal tussle over land ownership.

Mr. Eddie asserts lawful acquisition of the contested property in 2011, armed with authentic documentation after due diligence with the Lands Commission.

However, a 2014 court order stymied his construction plans, questioning his title deed. Contention flared among several players including Mr. Kwadwo Agyeman of Paytell Company, co-defendants Mr. Emmanuel Ebo Abraham (Bobo) and Mr. Kwabena Nketia, with legal representation by the wily Lawyer Andy Appiah-Kubi, MP for Asante Akim North, advocating for opposing factions.

Emmanuel Ebo Abraham invoked a Power of Attorney to litigate on behalf of his alleged “principal” in a protracted East Legon land battle spanning a decade.

In a jaw-dropping twist, the purported land owner, Ex-Warrant Officer 1 (Ex-WO1) Samuel Kojo Quartey, emerged from retirement in Agona Swedru, disavowing association with the disputed property. He refuted ties to Accra realty or authorization for legal representation.

Summoned to court today, Mr. Quartey denounced Emmanuel Ebo Abraham’s purported authority, prompting a frantic escape bid from Abraham upon sighting Quartey.

However, authorities swiftly foiled his flight, marking a significant breakthrough in the legal saga. The riveting courtroom saga advances on Wednesday with heightened anticipation. Mr. Eddie remains sanguine for a favorable resolution, buoyed by Mr. Quartey’s surprising endorsement.

“I’ve invested heavily in this land, enduring years of legal strife. With the truth at last revealed, I’m optimistic about reclaiming my property,” remarked Mr. Eddie post-hearing, expressing gratitude to divine providence and his diligent counsel, Dr. Sylvester Nyamekye, Esq. Authorities vow exhaustive investigation into the alleged land scam, escalating public eagerness for the court’s impending ruling as the legal showdown intensifies.
