‘NPP IS READY FOR WAR’:

Blood Thirsty NPP Youth Organizer Beats War Drums in Takoradi

The Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has declared that the party will not compromise power for the sake of peace, signaling readiness to engage in conflict if necessary.

Salam Mustapha, a Presidential Staffer at the Office of the Vice President and the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has boldly challenged the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to incite violence during the upcoming election and face the consequences.

During a health walk preceding the NPP’s manifesto unveiling in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, in the Western Region, Mustapha asserted that the fearless NPP is well-equipped and prepared to confront the NDC head-on in the election.

In a surprising display, the youth leader paused during his speech and rolled up his sleeve to flaunt his purported muscles (macho) which he allegedly plans to utilize for violent acts.

He emphasized that the Akufo-Addo government has achieved significant feats, convincing him that voters will grant them a third-term victory.

Mustapha stated, “No entity can intimidate the NPP out of power. We have exceeded the efforts of the NDC. Our achievements surpass theirs in every aspect.

There is nothing the NDC can leverage to defeat us in this election.” “I have a direct response to the NDC. Recently, their National Youth Organiser made a statement that ‘The NDC will not be a casualty of peace.’

I also assert that the NPP will not jeopardize this election for the sake of peace. We refuse to succumb, we will not be intimidated, obstructed, or coerced.” Observing his muscles, he continued, “These muscles are genuine, robust, and if the NDC believes they are more formidable, they should challenge us in this election and witness our strength.

We advocate for peace, progress, and the advancement of the nation. However, we will not yield to any form of coercion. Ghanaians will make their choice and vote for the NPP.” Notably, Mustapha is not the only individual making provocative statements, which have raised concern among citizens.

Several weeks ago, Minister for Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Abetifi constituency, Bryan Acheampong, reiterated on three occasions that the NPP will not relinquish power to the NDC. Acheampong’s remarks, initially made in the Mpraeso constituency, have been echoed by President Akufo-Addo, who has repeatedly stated his intention not to hand over power to his former opponent.

In response to these assertions, the NDC’s George Opare Addo declared that the party will confront intimidation and electoral malpractice from the NPP and the Electoral Commission.

During the youth manifesto launch at the University for Professional Studies (UPS-A) on Monday, Opare Addo issued a stern warning to the electoral body, emphasizing the party’s commitment to protecting the integrity of the ballot.

Furthermore, national chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia dismissed the idea of signing a peace pact, citing previous unsuccessful attempts at fostering peace.

Addressing the situation on Joy News’ PM Express, Asiedu Nketia expressed skepticism towards symbolic agreements, advocating for more practical measures to prevent violence and address underlying causes effectively.
