Accused Daily Guide Owner of Theft at ABC Brewery
Renowned broadcaster and fashion icon, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, popularly known as KKD, has come out with shocking revelations about Gina Blay, the wife of former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman Freddie Blay and Chairman of GNPC Board.
In a one-sided allegation, KKD has accused Gina Blay, now Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany, of alleged theft during her time at ABC Brewery (now Accra Brewery Limited PLC).
KKD, who also worked at ABC Brewery as the Advertising Manager, disclosed that Gina Blay was caught stealing beer while serving as the Public Relations Manager, resulting in her dismissal.
The incident, which dates back many years, created turmoil within the company, with attempts allegedly made to deport the Managing Director at the time.
During a recent appearance on 3FM’s Morning Show hosted by Johnnie Hughes, KKD did not hold back as he criticized Mr. Blay, a former Member of Parliament for Ellembelle in the Western Region, and exposed the details of the past incident involving Mrs. Blay.
Referring to the alleged theft, KKD stated, “Your wife was sacked for stealing beer at ABC Brewery Limited and has been awarded an ambassadorship?”
He emphasized that the issue was not mere speculation, but an established fact known to those who worked at the brewery during that period.
KKD expressed his disappointment over Gina Blay’s appointment as an ambassador, questioning the appropriateness of selecting someone with a history of theft for such a prestigious role. Gina Blay has yet to respond to the wild allegation.
He highlighted the need for Ghanaians to prioritize integrity in leadership selection, urging citizens to elect individuals who uphold the highest ethical standards.
In a call for national unity beyond party lines, KKD emphasized the importance of holding leaders accountable regardless of their political affiliations.
He stressed the imperative of choosing competent and ethical leaders to lead the nation forward, emphasizing the need to learn from past mistakes in order to build a better future for Ghana.
