Youth Group Exposes Allegations of Corruption and Land Grabbing in Okyeman

The Concerned Youth of Okyeman recently made alarming revelations regarding the controversial Agyapadie book and accusations of land grabbing in the Kyebi area.

Led by spokesperson Amoako Ofori Atta, the group claimed that the Agyapadie book, purported to detail plans for state capture, is authentic and was originated in Kyebi, the ancestral home of President Akufo-Addo.

The group asserted that the book, allegedly published by the pro-New Patriotic Party Danquah Institute, was authored by the late Fredrick Guggisberg, an uncle of President Akufo-Addo.

They emphasized that despite denials from the President and the Akyem Abuakwa chief, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, the book’s contents are genuine and have undergone several revisions.

Furthermore, the Concerned Youth of Okyeman accused individuals linked to the “Ofori-Panin Akyem Mafia” of tarnishing the reputation of Akyem-Abuakwa through land grabbing schemes.

They highlighted encroachments on Kyebi School lands and the Kyebi Secondary Technical School, allegedly by government officials and royal family members.

The group also alleged the existence of a mysterious house in Kyebi with an on-site bank, referred to as “Susu Biribi Royal Bank,” where cash transfers from the government to specific accounts occur monthly.

These revelations, as per the group, align with the purported details in the contentious Agyapadie document.

The Concerned Youth of Okyeman called for public scrutiny and distinction between the accused “Ofori-Panin Akyem Mafia” and the broader Akyem-Abuakwa community to prevent unjust assumptions.

Their exposé sheds light on the intertwined issues of alleged corruption, power abuse, and land misappropriation within the region.
