In a move that has ignited further interest and debate surrounding the controversial Agyapade3 document, Akyem Abuakwa chief, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori-Panin, has vocally distanced his community from its contents, prompting increased discussions in traditional media outlets.
The Agyapade3 publication, purported to be a blueprint for the Akyem Abuakwa faction of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) aimed at siphoning Ghana’s wealth for their benefit, had long been relegated to obscurity, with traditional media networks refraining from spotlighting its contents.
Whenever attempts were made by critics of the Akufo-Addo administration to bring up the document in political discussions, they were promptly silenced under the pretext of lack of verification.
However, recent efforts to bring the book’s content into mainstream discourse have seen Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin intervening to refute any association with the document.
His denunciation has been described as explosive and damning. During a recent Akyem Abuakwa State Council meeting, the Okyenhene urged his kin and the Ghanaian populace to dismiss the book’s claims.
Drawing parallels to historical events, he highlighted past instances where similar attempts to sow discord within the community were thwarted.
Contrary to the chief’s defense, many have rejected his assertions as baseless lies, suggesting a deliberate agenda by certain elements within the NPP and the Akyem enclave to exploit the nation’s resources to the detriment of the citizenry.
The renewed attention on the Agyapade3 book has gained traction in various media platforms, including JoyNews, Angel Television and FM, Onua FM and television, Nhyirah FM, Okay FM, Metro Television, among others, which have begun broaching the subject.
Former broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, on JoyNews’ AM Show, vehemently rebuked the document’s claims, deeming them unfounded.
His impassioned reaction underscored the gravity of the allegations within the book. Additionally, political commentator Adakabre Frimpong Manso, hosting an afternoon political show on Okay FM, delved into the book’s details, shedding light on individuals allegedly connected to its publication.
The discourse surrounding Agyapade3 has not escaped the attention of social media users, with platforms like TikTok (previously Twitter) being utilized to disseminate excerpts from the publication.
This propagation has raised concerns over the purported agenda to consolidate power and influence among certain factions, potentially at the expense of national interests.
As revelations within the Agyapade3 book continue to stoke controversy and intrigue, the discourse surrounding its content appears poised to intensify, casting a shadow over the political landscape and raising questions among the Ghanaian populace about the veracity and implications of its claims.
