Activist Declassifies Land Grabbing Scandal

Accused President and VEEP In State Capture Claim

Prince Derick Adjei, a renown anti-corruption and political activist has shed light on a sprawling web of alleged corrupt practices and land grabbing that has permeated the very core of Ghana’s governance structures.

Describing it as the final phase of the insidious phenomenon of State Capture, Adjei pointed out that those involved in corruption, galamsey, and plundering of public funds have turned to land as a safe haven for their ill-gotten gains.

According to Adjei, the vast sums of money accumulated through corrupt means have nowhere to hide except in prime lands across the country. Land, with its intrinsic value and limited oversight, has become the preferred asset for those seeking to conceal their wealth.

The report highlights those prime locations such as Airport Residential Area, Cantonments, Legon, and Labadi Beach have become hotspots for land looters, including individuals connected to the highest echelons of power.

Shockingly, the silence of President Akufo Addo and Vice President Bawumia in the face of these blatant land grabs is seen not as ignorance but as complicity.

The involvement of close associates of the President and Vice President in grabbing state lands, bungalows, and hotels raises serious concerns about the extent of the rot within the government.

Specific cases cited, such as the attempted takeover of SSNIT HOTELS and Labadi Beach Hotel Beachfront, point to a well-organized syndicate operating with impunity.

Furthermore, Adjei warns that no part of Ghana is immune to this widespread corruption, with even the northern regions being targeted due to the discovery of valuable minerals like gold, iron ore, and lithium.

Urging Ghanaians to rise up as active citizens, Adjei calls for accountability from the highest levels of government and threatens citizens’ arrests if necessary. While organized labor has taken a stand against the government’s inaction, the call for transparency and action grows louder.

President Akufo Addo is under pressure to disclose the status of all state-owned lands and assets as the country braces for a potential showdown between the people and the powerful land looters.

As the scandal unfolds, Ghanaians are left to ponder the extent of the State Capture and Land grabbing epidemic that has gripped the nation.
