Akufo Addo Appoints Libido Mafia Asomani as National Security Boss -Seeks To Hijack Security Services For Election 2024

President Akufo-Addo’s latest appointments at National Security have followed a pattern that leads to the conclusion that he has made his notorious cousin, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, the godfather of National Security.

In telltale fashion, the new appointees are products of the Danquah Institute (DI), a partisan governance group set up by Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko.

On August 8, Mr. Akufo-Addo appointed Mr Edward Asomani, Deputy National Security Coordinator, to act as National Security Coordinator, in place of Asomani’s boss, Maj. Gen. Rtd Francis Adu-Amanfoh.

The President has also appointed Nana Attobrah Quaicoe, the Deputy Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) formerly Bureau of National Intelligence (BNI), to act as Director-General of the NIB effective Monday, August 8, 2022.

With both Asomani and Attobrah being proteges of Mr. Otchere-Darko, critics are deciphering the connotations, including suspicions that these individuals have been placed in privileged positions to use the security apparatus to give undue advantage to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.

It is believed that the so-called Akyem Mafia, of which Akufo-Addo is head honcho, wants to repeat the bloody Election 2020 rigging in 2024, and for that purpose, the loyal hatchet men at the top security positions ought to come from within trusted circles.

Before getting an appointment into National Security in 2017, Edward Asomani was a top appointee at Gabby’s D.I. when the NPP was in opposition and appointees of D.I. were engaging in perceived treasonable attempts to destabilize the government of John Mahama.

Indeed Asomani was at D.I. in 2015 when the pressure groups’ Executive Director was implicated in the smuggling of ex-South African police officers into Ghana to secretly train NPP goon squads, including the notorious Invisible Forces.

Those South Africans had later been arrested with copies of the Electoral Commission’s data transmission system manuals in their possession.

He was also there when current Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta had allegedly brought in Syrian mercenaries and housed them at a hotel at Mile 7 in Accra.

On the other hand, Nana Attobrah Quaicoe who has now been appointed the head of the NIB used to be the Executive Director of the same Danquah Institute. He is fingered for playing a key role in conspiring with Daniel McKorley of the McDan Group to smuggle in the ex-South African Police officers to train NPP goons and help hack the EC’s data transmission system in 2015.

For this, Nana Atobrah had been invited by the then National Security headed by Mr. Yaw Donkor and questioned.

Both Asomani and Atobrah have in the past been named in swashbuckling tales of gangland-style criminal conduct. Recently, Asomani was alleged to have been involved in the disappearance of cocaine; hijacking of fuel tankers; bonking of female National Security staff, money laundering and illegal vehicle confiscation.

At a point, he was said to have been relieved of his duties together with one Col. Frank Agyemang over the allegations.

Meanwhile, another personality who is been as strategically placed to help the NPP’s rigging agenda in 2024 is Mr. Kwabena Adu Boahene. Adu Boahene is currently the Director General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), an agency of the National Security Council

According to his profile at the National Communications Authority, the man is an expert in signal interception and processing, something that observers see as very useful for election data tampering.
