As Broke Akufo Addo Cry To IMF, Hohoe MP Travels To Constituency With Helicopter

Member of Parliament for Hohoe in the Volta Region, John Peter Amewu, now flies to his constituency with a military helicopter because the main road that leads to the constituency has been washed away by rains.

Angry constituents who feel the MP has found a way out and abandoned the rest of them to their plight have taken time to take photographs of the chopper that Amewu cruises into town.

“This is the helicopter the MP for Hohoe Hon. John Peter Amewus now uses his constituency because the rains have washed the roads the NPP government constructed in 2020. The Fodome road is now a death trap,” wrote one Ibrahim Bless Salifu on Facebook.

He adds, “He now flies in the air to funerals.”

A picture of the chopper accompanying the post is seen and has the number GHF – 432 on its fin.

Incidentally, the roads Amewu is frantically avoiding were built only two years ago by his government, a situation that has seriously angered his constituency.

And after it was washed away by rains, the MP who is also Minister for Railways is said to have promised to give the road a second coat but has since not done so.
