NPP Attack Dog, Paul Adom Otchere, Declared Persona Non-Grata In Volta Region

If Paul Adom Otchere steps inside the Volta Region, his safety cannot be guaranteed, according to the Volta Youth Network (VYN), a national network of youth in the Volta Region.

The warning was contained in a statement responding to Adom Otchere’s unprovoked attacks on His Royal Majesty Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State over Togbe’s public-spirited decision to return an obscene ex-gratia that was paid to him by the kleptocracy being led by Nana Akufo-Addo.

“We are at this juncture, calling on all well-meaning Ghanaians and voices of reason to do the needful in all of this but while waiting we declare Paul Adom Otchere a persona non-grata in the Volta region and so shall not be able to guarantee his safety if found anywhere in the Volta Region. He will have himself to be blamed if he steps his foot in the Volta Region,” the group stated.

The statement which is signed by Richard Fidel Agbeko Bedi, added, “We also call on all Persons of Volta descent throughout the Country to treat Paul Adom Otchere and people like him as an enemy and threat to our very survival.”

Adom Otchere has found himself at the receiving end of fire from angry Voltarians after he used his program, ‘Good Evening Ghana,’ to attack Togbe Afede XIV following the respected Overlord’s decision to return Ghc350,000 that the government had paid him as ex-gratia for serving on the Council of State for four years.

In a cover letter, Togbe had explained his decision stemmed from his general abhorrence to huge ex-gratia paid people who serve in public office. Also, he explained, he felt that at a time that the country was going through serious financial hardships it was not proper to accept such huge ex-gratia.

To the shock of many, Adom-Otchere went on Good Evening Ghana to accuse Togbe of hypocrisy, claiming that he did not see anything heroic about his public-spirited act because Togbe did not even attend most meetings while serving on the council of state.
